Kobe Bryant Posters
I hate to do it – really I do, but I’m throwing up Kobe Bryant wallpaper and posters on this site because I know there are you crazy fools out there who just gotta have it. I’m not a Lakers fan by any stretch of the imagination, but as reluctant as I am to say it, the Black Mamba is one of the greatest basketball players who’s ever stepped onto the hardwood. Very few other things on this planet create such an incomparable balance of fear and excited emotions in me than when Cleveland plays Kobe’s Lakers…the two teams, historically, are a far cry from rivals, but seeing two larger than life spectacles battling each other with a competitive edge sharp enough to slice ball hair…there’s just nothing nuttier.
Kobe Bryant is what Lebron James was years before he was the King James who we know and love today. Kobe was the newest breed of superstar athletes called, “The Next Michael Jordan” (I just puked a little). As you may have gathered, I hate that title (though I regretfully catch myself using it often), and what I hate more is that Kobe, on paper, is living up to the moniker better than my boy Lebron (give him time, folks), but he still has plenty of work to do. Bryant has four rings under his belt, Jordan has six. Kobe’s a 12 time All Star, Jordan’s 14. Kobe’s seven time Defensive first team, Jordan is 9. They can both dunk the lights out, but Jordan has him beat with two slam dunk contest trophies.
Both parties yield some impressive numbers, but in the ‘Most Valuable’ department, KB pales in MJ’s shadow. Jordan has been dubbed the league MVP five different times, and Finals MVP all six times he’s made an appearance. Kobe has been the league MVP once, and finals MVP once (same year). Yeh, Jordan had Pippen, but Kobe had Shaq. How can you possibly outshine Shaq in the finals? Olajuwon managed to do it in 1995, but Kobe couldn’t. Yeh, I took an opportunity to clown Kobe, but in fairness to him, there’s no one more cold-blooded in the clutch than Jordan, and until Lebron shows his true colors in a season or two, there never will be.
While Kobe is no Michael Jordan – dude, he’s not – he’s a ridiculous ball player, second best closer in the game today (behind James), and my number one favorite player to hate. Whether you hate him or love him (I’m guessing you love him and hate me, and think I’m full of crap for the Shaq and LBJ comments and MJ comparisons), you need to show your feelings, and deck your crap out with Kobe Bryant wallpaper and posters.
